Well we were in Vancouver, WA for the last 2 Sundays. My mom needed my help with some business things and Sean needed a break from work after the inspection was over. We took the train out and we were fortunate enough to have mom pay for one of our tickets.
Our first day there, Friday, Sean and I ran a bunch of errands and did some shopping since we were in a real city. Saturday we got up and left for the Oregon Coast. We drove along the edge of the Columbia River to Astoria and then down the coast to Seaside and played a little bit down there. Mom had a YE Old Tyme picture taken of David with him naked in a big wash tub. It is so cute! Its copyrighted so I can't put it up but its awesome. We also took David on the Carousel. We also stopped to take pictures of the beautiful coastline on our way down to Tillamook, Or where we stayed Saturday night. We came back on Sunday after stopping for ice cream at the Tillamook Cheese Factory.
My Nana Bev came in on Monday and she got to meet Sean and David for the first time. Monday mom and I started working. So Sean and Nana took care of David while I worked on the computer and mom was at her office doing massages. Tuesday afternoon Nana took me shopping for clothes for David.Then on Wednesday mom took the afternoon off and we all went to the Oregon Zoo and out to dinner afterward. Thursday she had to go home.
The evening Nana left Sean and I got to go to the temple while mom spent time with our little man. She got to do it again Friday night cause Sean and I had a date night. We got Portland Winterhawk hockey ticket and watched them in the Rose Garden that night. We lost with no goal but we got to watch an awesome fight from good seats. It was a lot of fun. Saturday mom and I worked and most of my downtime that week was spent working. Sunday we had church and dressed David up in his new suit that we got him. I spent Sunday and Monday getting everything packed and we left Monday evening.
We got home Tuesday afternoon and Sean picked up our new huge California King bed. Which is wonderful to sleep on! The rest of this has been spent relaxing and trying to get back in the swing of normal life. Sean goes back to work tomorrow and things will really be back to normal.
We had a scare with Grandpa too. During the last 2 weeks he has had 3 surgery's and is now in a place where he can start recovering. It was scary there for a little while but he pulled thru and hopefully we can go see him soon.
